Ho hum...Another nice day, and not too warm for me. I went down to the Wandsworth mall, and got a steam mop thingy at Dyas. Haven't used it yet; hope it's luddite-friendly.
Watched the French version of Pabst's THREEPENNY OPERA. A bit livelier than the German one. The MacHeath was somewhat perkier than the German guy, if equally plain, and I was very impressed by Margo Lion as Jenny; better than Lotte Lenya. The other DVD of the week was RUBY SPARKS, a fairly tedious romcom, with a not entirely uninteresting premise, which took an interesting turn towards darkness near the end, but then went saccharine again. Meh.
