Scary Movie...

Watched CHERNOBYL DIARIES last night, despite its having had pretty poor reviews. Actually, it is the usual rubbish, with a group of annoying young holidaymakers getting more than they bargained for, and dying 'orrible, largely recorded on shaky handheld footage. What actually got to me was the eerie  setting itself. It was filmed in Serbia and Hungary, but I don't know where the stand-in for the abandoned city of Pripyat is, or if it was just an extremely well-realised set. The atmosphere was so grim and spooky, though, that it left me seriously creeped out and unsettled. I jumped a couple of times, as well. My feet were right off the floor once. SILENT HILL got to me like that, too. I guess I have a serious abandoned buildings thing...
