I lived and worked near there when I first came to London over 30 years ago, and it had a dark, rather violent vibe even then. I hated having to get off there to go to that gimp group, recently. There was always yelling and fighting and weirdness going on, in broad daylight. It's just one of those places that seem naturally nasty.
I was out and about, and felt better than I did yeasterday, but still pretty seedy. Looks like it's going to keep getting bloody hotter. I still hope to go to Sina's erotic comix workshop at Orbital Comics (Great Newport St.) tomorrow, if I can possibly bear the bus trip, etc. Anyone else going? I should think it will be very interesting.
Watched WINTER'S BONE, a very beautiful film, with some impressive child (and animal-) performances.
