I am, need I say, most definitely not an Al-Qaeda sympathiser, but I must say I find all the creepy 'USA! USA!' dancing in the streets stuff following the death of Osama Bin Laden sickeningly barbaric. I suppose it was inevitable, and might even lead to a more peaceful world, although I doubt it, but gee, guys, have a bit of taste. It reminds me of those redneck mobs who congregate outside execution locations in the US, waving 'BURN IN HELL' placards. Gross.
Not unpleasant but weird weather again, kinda hot and cold at the same time, with these stiff breezes. Quie nice, though.
In my boredom, I ventured into that Jamie Oliver shop at Clapham Junction, where you can pay £4.00 for a small loaf, or a jar of lemon curd! Jeez. It's all very attractively set up, of course, and usually seems quite busy. I guess some people aren't feeling the pinch much.
R Next Door has repored seeing foxes several times recently in the little park behind the estate. I'd love to see them, and they've been around for years, but I've never caught a glimpse.
Watched Gaspar Noe's ENTER THE VOID... WTF? I had to veil my eyes a lot of the time, as the pulsing, flashing picture almost throughout was enough to give anyone a siezure, and it was about 4 hours long. It's been quite well received, but I can't say it did much for me.
