Whew...Set out at 10 AM to see the Austin Spare exhibit at the old Walworth Town Hall, near where the magus/artist lived for many years in voluntary poverty. The little Cuming Museum is a delight in itself, but I was really astonished to see how crowded it was. Perhaps it was because of the Alan Moore item on the Culture Show, but a lot of the gawkers seemed to be elderly local types. I wonder if any of them had youthful memories of the crazy artist bloke?
It was wonderful, anyway, and closes soon, so catch it if you can.

There's also a Spare exhibit at the tiny Atlantis bookshop on Museum St., but only until Saturday.
Unfortunately, it took over two hours to get home due to diversions because of the students' anti-fees demo. I'm very much on their side, of course, but the ones who suffer most are always poor sods trying to get to work, or whatever.Could be the start of a Winter of Discontent with all the insane Tory propositions, anyway. I might be wibbling around Whitehall myself, at some point. The bastards do need telling...not that they'll listen.
Ohhh, evidently they're storming the Millbank headquarters. Go kiddies, go!
