MIMIC: pretty formulaic, but the director's touch is there, and there are a few proper creepy moments. The lovely Jeremy Northam also looks especially hott in dork specs and PJs.
LAST CHANCE HARVEY: I hate romcoms, but good crits and word o' mouth lured me into trying this one. All in all pretty sick-making, though, apart from the always admirable Emma Thompson. Then there's that strange London geography typical of Hollywood films, which always vaguely annoys, On the plus side, it's nice to have some recognition of the fact that old farts fancy a bit of romance, too.
SUSPIRIA: I saw this once a long time ago, and didn't know what was going on. It was a bit more comprehensible this time, but somehow, I never quite get off on Argento films, despite his mad operatic approach, which should appeal to me. The lead actress, Jessica Harper, is very attractive; wonder what became of her?
