If by any chance anyone has missed the last LAST CHANCE TO SEE featuring the rape by a kakapo of Stephen Fry's zoologist co-presenter, I strongly advise you check it out. Definitely the funniest sight of the week. If you have to get sexually assaulted by a critter,it must be said that the kakapo is an irresistibly gormless-looking one, with bags of star quality.

Also saw an interesting study of computer games on BBC4, by Charlie Booker. I'm really ignorant in this area, and was fascinated. They showed a lot of really early, comically crude stuff, including a porno game called BEAT IT AND EAT IT, which was a revelation.
FIFTY CENT; BLOOD ON THE SAND was discussed as an example of a really crap current game. It looked so grotesque I' quite fancied having a go.
The 'blind man' actually came, grumbling about how it took him three hours from Southend. After all the waiting and agita, I must admit I'm very pleased with the effect. It's such a huge window, I thought I'd alternate the shades of the slats, instead of having one big block of solid colour, and it works quite well. The guy said he'd never installed a blind with different shades before, and it looked good. I'm surprised. It seemed like the sensible thing to do,when you have virtually a whole wall of window. Whew, I'm so glad that's over with.
