I am 60, and it's "The Most Depressing Day of the Year"! You gotta laugh, really; a hollow mirthless cackle,of course...
Another night of really baroque dreams and nightmares. I woke up knackered. Oh well, in the midst of all the mayhem, I got to snog Julian Barratt.
I'm trying not to mention BIG BROTHER, but strangely, debonair Dirk is going all peculiar, and has become the new 'escape goat' as poor Jade would say.
Oh yeah, for the cherry on top of my dismal fete of doom, I recieved a birthday card from Mummie Dearest, which is actually a 'Mass Card' one of those holy pictures they give out at funerals, depicticting a virtuous soul ascending into the clouds. On the back is a 'pome' called SAFELY HOME...There are about 90 verses. Highlights include:
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows.
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you
So you must not idly stand:
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home:
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh the joy to see you come!
