I've just put the central heating on for a while...a full week earlier than last year. I'm really getting feeble. It was so damp and shivery in here this afternoon, though, even with several layers and a fez on. Brrr...
The Lord Mayor's Show is a funny old thing, really; all those pillar of the community types in their fairytale clobber and coaches, waving hand puppets at bemused tourist children. There's a certain melancholy about it.
