I think I have probably hit rock bottom financially, which, of course, is scary. In addition to my big credit card bill, I have an overdraft of about 200 quid, and no income apart from my very meagre benefit. I can't find anything to sell, and I'm desperate. Yah! If anybody hears of part-time work for strange unsightly old ladies with social phobia and zero office skills in the West End/ Clapham area do let me know. Commissions always welcome, of course!
I signed on for one of those month's free DVDs things, and so far have seen DANS MA PEAU, very nasty and rather pointless. (Weird Betty-Blueish girl is increasingly into 'cutting', including hacking off strips of flesh and noisily eating them, and well, that's it, really...Ew!)

and THE EXORCIST: BEGINNING, which sank without trace in the cinema, but is actually rather better than likely. It looks expensive, is well acted and directed, and actually provides a fair number of frissons, largely by following the example of the original, where the scariest moments are provoided by sudden, unpleasant noises. Worth watching if you're having a pizza-guzzling dossing, depraved night in.
