It's bleeding chilly out there. I was tempted to wear a wooly hat in the park, but no, not in April.

I feel soo cold!  It hasn't rained but it's been utterly grim
Lula is still alive, and well-ish.
There's been a real glut of Hamlets in the past few years. I've seen Rory Kinnear, Maxine Peak, Benedict Cumberbatch... It looks like MACBETH is the Shakespeare of the moment, though.
Last night on BBC2, though, there was yet another HAMLET, the recent Almeida production with Andrew Scott. I thought I was a bit Hamleted out, and it was nearly full length, too, so I wasn't overly keen. However, it turned out riveting, a modern setting with CCTV used quite clerly. The cast was terrific. Andrew Scott has never been one of my faves, but his twitchy, tic-laden Prince was actually fascinating to watch. Juliet Stephenson was a wonderful Gertrude, and the whole cast was topnotch. A nice surprise.
Ambitiously, I changed the cat litter, but spent most of the day in my usual inertia funk. So it goes.
