Who hasn’t pinned one of Saul Bass’s elegant film posters on their wall—with either thumbtacks above the dormroom bed or in frame and glass in grown-up environs? Or maybe it’s 70s kitsch you prefer—the art of the grindhouse and sensationalist drive-in exploitation film?

Drizzlegrizzle...

A very nasty day. No exercise. I've been taking the splint off my wrist pretty often, and it looks horrible, all deformed. Well, they did tell me to have that second operation. I'm still rather glad I didn't.
Watched WATERLOO ROAD. I remember my mother saying that was the roughest film fight she'd ever seen. It's fairly famous, for wee John Mills beating the stuffing out of strapping Stewart Grainger. All things considered, I guess it's still pretty convincing.
Also watched another EXORCIST episode.
I'm liking the new GUARDIAN tabloid format. I liked the Berliner, but this, after all, is easier for reading on the go.
