Dystopian Monster...

I know they're all around, but I've only  ever seen two rats on Wandsworth Road, until now, and they were dead. Today I say one loitering around a parked car, very  much alive; fat, sassy, shiny and  throbbing with gangsta attitude. It was a handsome beast, actually. If it weren't for the constant urine-dripping, bubonic plague cooties, scaly tails, etc.,I'd have no problems with rats at all. This specimen was also at least  eight inches long, not counting said tail. Awesome.
I guess this neighbourhood is really rat heaven. In addition to the railway line, it's also home to about eighty thousand unhygienic takeaway emporiums.

Wotz Occurrin'?...

Lots and lots of sirens, ambulances, and I think I heard a helicopter. I can't see anything, but the news said a crane has fallen onto a building on Thessaly Rd, just  near New Covent Garden Market, and knocked it down! Blimey. Total traffic snarlage, of course. No further details yet; hope nobody's killed.
