Queers Invade NPG...

Thanks to R popping in to check on Wotan while I was out, I took in the very interesting QUEERING THE PORTRAIT discussion, followed by a free glass of wine, and some intriguing snippets of [Unknown LJ tag]' fillums...PLAN B really should be worked into a feature, in my opinion. What a story. (Sorry I didn't introduce myself, BTW, but figured you were about to be mobbed by admirers & I was already a bit later back than I'd said I'd be.)
The speakers were OK to very interesting (Sadie Lee) and it was just such a relief to get away from animal worry and woe, family horrors, etc. for a while.
Also briefly encountered were charlottecooper, royaltoots and kayisgay Several other faces looked vaguely familiar, but I'm not sure. <lj user=helenraven. arrived late, due to time confusion, but got to see Jason's turn. I'd never been in the little Ondaatje Wing Theatre before; very nice, with (Ahhhh-)comfy-even-for-me seats, and air conditioning. More crazy queers doing stuff in the NPG would be a good idea. It wasn't too full, but considering the weather, and the fact that there had been virtually no publicity, it was a reasonable crowd. http://www.npg.org.uk/live/edconferences.asp Wotan is sleeping on his back, which he hasn't done in a while. Good sign, (I hope...)
