Like A Freakshow Nightmare...

Off to the doctor again. Damn! Had to see a locum, too; 'mine' is on holiday...More feckin' steroids, another change of antihistamine, different eye drops, and a good armful of blood siphoned off for testing. I hadn't eaten before setting out, and felt quite fainty as the nurse filled tube after tube with my freakish self-destructive claret. Ugh...
Actually, there were quite a few other scarlet-faced, swollen souls dripping and snorting, both in the surgery and waiting interminably in the chemist for their prescriptions. Others were asking the staff what the strongest OTC remedies were. I know the pollen count, etc. was high over the weekend, but I wonder if there's not something else tainting the atmosphere...My usual paranoia, I s'poze...
My mother sent me some old TV GUIDEs from the US with STAR WARS features.(I have never had much that interest in SW, dunno what she's on about, for a change.) She also gifted me with a truly hideous prayer card they were giving out at her church. (Oh, how I need a working scanner, etc...)depicting a triumphant Pope Ratzi leering gruesomely. She thinks he's 'so nice'.

Odd, To Say The Least Of It...

http://www.offoffoff.com/film/2003/cremaster.php

Part one of CREMASTER just pissed me off, and I fast-forwarded through most of it. Didn't care much for 2, either. 4, although equally self-indulgent and meaningless, to me, was more visually arresting, and held my attention in a hypnogogic-visionish way. No resort to the FF button. I actually rather liked 5, a weird, incomprehensible 'Klingon Opera' or something, starring Ursula Andress as - the Queen of Chain.
think I'd be willing to give 3 a chance, on the basis of this.

Thanks again for the loan , marstokyo , I'll post it on in the next day or so.
