Wotan Update

"Fine; coming around nicely" as of this afternoon. They think he'll be able to come home tomorrow. Fingers crossed, then. The vet mentioned something 'very rare' that sometimes strikes cats who have had the thyroid removed, like 'calcium fits' or something.'It can be quite distressing'...so, I'm still in fear of that,whatever it is, on the basis that anything that can go wrong will. (After all, the tablets are supposed to work in most cases...) Surely it's time for a bit of ultra-good luck ,though, and, while I personally, am luckless, Wotan has had a certain amount of good fortune previously, in the death-cheating, and finding- a- doting- 'owner' stakes...
This snow is so unearthly and poetic...Who'da thunk I'd have grown up/old into a world where snow is a curosity?
To take my mind off Wotan's condition this morning, I watched a video about Kaspar Hauser;
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/KasparHauser-1074136/preview.php It's a really good film, and the lovely Udo Samel was in it. Thanks for that, JL; couldn't have come at a better time...I can vaguely remember my sister and I seeing a cheesy TV play about KH starring Michael(BONANZA,etc.) Landon. We were so fascinated that we took up taking turns being all staring-eyed and gibbery, and stabbing each other to death. We were very unusual kids... It was the beginning of my lifelong obsession with this tale of poignant weirdness, anyhow.
