...And so is the Jungle Death humidity; heading for proper 'heatwave' pitch by midweek. All the talks etc. look so intriguing, though, I'm determined to keep slogging as long as possible. At least I don't haveta actually do anything, but get up the ICA stairs, and risk brain overload from excessively interesting input.
It got off to a promising start yesterday with a well-attended (I'd expected to see about ten other punters; more like 30-) demo from ace illustrator/photographer/colourist to the stars, Jose Villarubia. Really made me wish my pc was capable of fooling around with Photoshop, etc. these days.
It was all a bit technical for me, but I took in most of it, and was duly impressed. JV is obviously an experienced teacher, too, and made it easy to follow, even for us semi-computer literate types.
I'd never ventured into that wee computer room at the ICA before. They've got some pretty state of the art -looking macs in there, and a display monitor that had to be at least 36". Whooo...
There are FOUR talks in a row his afternoon. I hope to get through three, at least, thanks to Mr. Gravett 'guest'-ing me.
Better get myself sorted. (Not much sleep again, last night. Bah..)
