Sulking and Simmering...

Bum, debilitating humidity is back, lots of bugs and itchy plant stuff, etc. etc.  My leg is a mess and giving me gyp, and the dentist visit vesterday was grim. She only took some impressions, and poked around a bit. The real fun starts next week. She spoke to her 'boss' about my possibly having a bridge, and aparently it could work by including a few more 'strong' teeth to anchor it to. This brings the price up to 2000...She asked if I could afford it. I said I can't afford 1000, but the prospect of facing what remains of my life with a 'plate' just destroys my brain, and I'll have to do it, somehow. She might be able to give me a bit of a break. I don't know. Fuck it. She does seem to feel a bit sorry for me.
Watching an old mini-series about Jack the Ripper, with Michael Caine, and quite a good cast. Nothing unusual, but reasonably diverting. I've always wondered how one of the suspects, the actor Richard Mansfield, who was famous for his 'Jekyll and Hyde' portrayal, managed to quickly alter himself onstage so dramatically that he had people fainting and fleeing the auditorium. I guess it had to be skillful lighting, mostly.
