I sat through the iPad class glumly, then went to this walk-in Homes From Lambeth thing downstairs. The place was full of bloody kids, which was unnerving and annoying. Of course, there's no help for it, if the parents don't have anyone to dump them on. I had a few questions about repairs, how high the rents in the new buildings are going to be (Much higher, of course, but they don't tell us much. ) Saw photos of the interiors; ugly and harsh, but of course, much more up to date, and clean, which would be nice...) The woman who's in charge of 'decanting' those who can move to the new block was superior, patronising, and gave nothing away. I ventured my opinion, useless as it is, that the now overcrowded estate would soon become a slum, and she said 'We'll have to wait and see' Well, up hers with a redhot poker. Just about what I expected. They gave out free bottles of hand sanitiser anyway.
