Sorrows Of The Rich...

Saw a riveting documentary on BBC2 last night, THE COUNTESS AND THE RUSSIAN BILLIONAIRE, about  one Alexandra Tolstoy (Yes, distantly related.), who met and married a rather handsome oligarch, Sergei Pugachev, and the life of amazing luxury they led, until his life was endangered by financial losses that vexed  ex-pal Putin, so that they eventually went on the run to his chateau in  Nice, where she feelt claustrphobic. He turned grumpy and absusive, She fled back to London where he has her spied on,and wants to get the kids, etc etc, It's just so outrageous... She should have stuck with hubby #1, the penniless Cossack!
Excellemt schadenfreud-y fun.
NOUGHTS AND CROSSES had a fairly suspenseful last episode, but it  had sagged in the middle and I'd lost interest, a bit. A lot of series are like that.
Also gawked at Mark Kermode on romcoms, and another ep of BETTER CALL SAUL (Gus Fring is so fascinating.)
The 'Clap for Carers' thing was much louder this week, Probably because it's warm and not so dark. I really don't see the point, but a lot of the carers themselves seem to be moved by it, so OK.
