Went to the BM and saw the MUSEUM OF THE MIND and MEDICINE MAN exhibits, both quite interesting. The latter was full of way creepy stuff,including shrunken heads, glass eyes, hair-raising bonesaws, obstetric and dental instruments that make you really glad to live in this time and place, and a truly disturbing Peruvian mummy. I think the worst was the dried sheets of tattooed human skin. The many kids in attendance were, of course, loving it all; should be the hit of the summer. There's a nice little film by the Quay brothers, too. Oh, and Napoleon's toothbrush! Both exhibits are free.
I was glad I went when I did, as it was getting humid, sweaty, and scorchy by the time I came out, and I suppose will get worse by the day, again,until the next blessed relief comes along.Grumble...
