I crawled up to the Picture House for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, which was about what I expected; mildly entertaining flapdoodle. The screening was only 2D, too. Thor and Hulk weren't around. I never particularly liked Iron Man,Captain America, or Ant/Giant Man, and the other characters only became popular after my days of regular superhero comic buying were over. The new, very young Spidey made his debut. Why recast Aunt May as a cougar? ...Perhaps she's going to be a new romantic interest for Tony Stark. I liked Vision and Black Panther. The latter certainly has the coolest costume in the gang; tres chic. All in all, as Marvel epics go. I prefer X-MEN and THOR. They have a little more gravitas.
The London mayoral winner hasn't been officially announced, yet, but hopefully it's Khan. I have no particular enthusiasm for him, but he seems generally OKish,is pro-EU and isn't a Tory
Watched the first epiode of MARSEILLE. on Netflix. Looks like it might be pretty good. It's hard to believe. these days. how sexy Gerard Depardieu used to be. *Sigh* Ageing is so horribly cruel. (Being an alky doesn't do one any favours, either.)
Also saw the first of the new PENNY DREADFUL. season. I do love that one, and it looks like it's going to be as insanely entertaining as ever.
