Today's terrorist atrocity: Jakarta.
Dead iconic and much-loved celeb: Alan Rickman.

Bloody hell!

I put it off for hours, but ventured into the park to do an abbreviated workout. Horrible, horrible...It is genuinely bitter.

If you ever do any Alan Rickman cartoons, I would love to see them.

My Alan Rickman story:

Sometime in the 90s he appeared at the National with Helen Mirren as Antony and Cleopatra. Seats were snapped up immediately, but I managed to get tickets to one of the previews. Who wouldn't want to see Alan Rickman doing Shakespeare?

But he was AWFUL. Absolutely terrible. Helen Mirren, who was amazing, did her best to act for both of them, but the whole thing was excruciating. Everyone there was locked in this kind of dreadful hushed nightmare from which there seemed no escape. Including him. He knew he was terrible but he had to keep going, that night and through the whole pre-sold season. Later he said it was one of the worst experiences of his life and he would never go on stage again, although I believe he did change his mind later.

Clearly theatre just wasn't his thing. Doesn't stop me appreciating his TV and film work, though. His acting in Close My Eyes (not particularly well known, but great) was some of the best I've ever seen.

Wow, that surprises me, although I can see Antony probably wasn't 'his' role. Just goes to show, everyone stuffs up sometimes.
